Our story
A home built on care, not just caregiving.
Country Home has been a place of genuine warmth and personal attention since 1996. Here's the story behind it.
Meet Linda
Linda Melbardis has lived here since 1996 — because she believes care is best given from home.
Linda Melbardis didn't set out to build a business. She set out to create a home where elderly residents could live with dignity, warmth, and genuine personal attention. Since opening Country Home in 1996, she has lived on the property — because she believes the best care happens when someone truly calls it home.
Over nearly three decades, Linda has developed relationships with residents that span 10 to 12 years. She knows their preferences, their histories, their families. That kind of continuity is rare in assisted living — and it's something Country Home is built around.

Family members
Meet Poppers.
No description of Country Home would be complete without mentioning Poppers, our small and deeply loving dog. He is not an amenity — he is a member of the household. Research consistently shows that animal companionship improves mood, reduces anxiety, and brings genuine joy to seniors. Our residents would agree.
Poppers
Our small, affectionate dog who greets every resident and visitor with enthusiasm. Poppers has a particular gift for knowing when someone needs a little extra company.
Our philosophy
Why small is better.
You are known by name
In a small home, there are no anonymous residents. Linda and staff know every person — their preferences, their history, their family.
Consistent, familiar faces
Low staff turnover means residents build real relationships with the people caring for them — not a rotating roster of strangers.
Home-cooked everything
Three meals and three snacks daily, prepared fresh in our kitchen. No institutional food, no cafeteria lines.
Family is always welcome
We encourage visits, shared meals, and family involvement. Country Home is your loved one's home — and yours too.
Come meet Linda in person.
The best way to understand Country Home is to visit. We welcome families for tours and conversations — no pressure, just an honest look at what we offer.
